I have plucked more eyebrows for friends because I’m known as the “pain-free plucker.” Well, we all have to have a nick-name, don’t we? HA HA. Here’s the 2 trick methods I use: A (1) place a very warm cloth over the eyebrows to open up the pores – thus making the hairs easier to remove; and (2) take away the cloth and apply a thin coat of Anebesol (R) which is a numbing gel used for babies who are teething. Within moments the area is anesthetized – pluck away and just about when you’re don the “anesthesia effect” will be gone. B (1) place an ice cube over the eyebrows to really help with the anesthesia effect – make sure the ice cube has set out for at least 3 minutes – don’t want frost bite or to have the cube stick to your face – a “fashion look” so very few can carry off!!; then (2) apply a thin coat of Anebesol (R) as described above.
ABOVE ALL – to make the whole ordeal less painful, KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO PLUCK. NEVER PLUCK HAIRS FROM THE “TOP” OF THE BROW!!Place a thin straw next to the lower edge of your nose and raise it at a 90 degree angle. THAT’S WHERE THE BROW IS TO START. Then, using the same straw (or coffee stirrer) lay it next to the lower edge of our nose, match it along the edge of your eye and where the straw ends is where the brow should end. [As a police sketch artist I can tell you that for the average Caucasian woman the angle from the line straight up from the nose base to the edge of the eye is approximately 30 degrees. For an Asian woman or a Black woman the angle will be approximately 35 - 38 degrees.] If you don’t know where to pluck, the anesthesia effect will dissipate and the pain will increase. PLUS, you’ll be frustrated and that, in itself is painful. When in doubt pluck less than more!!
And remember, they don’t make eyebrow pencils for nothing – they are perfect for making little corrections when you go a little crazy with the tweezers.] OH, by the way, if you drastically lighten your hair, LIGHTEN YOUR EYEBROWS WITH A PRODUCT ESPECIALLY FOR THAT PURPOSE – NOT HAIR BLEACH!!
Happy plucking!

Hmm…Well the first time I plucked my eyebrows, its in pain but after you do it many times, i got used to it…
Here is a simple tip: put toothpaste over the part you will pluck and it numbs the pain.
I’m in the same position, I can barely pluck mine at all it hurts so bad. Instead I bought a tiny little pair of manicure scissors and cut when I need to. It grows a lot faster, obviously, and you have to do it more, but there is no pain involved, which is great for someone like me.
Pluck them out after a hot steamy shower. Your pores will be open from the hot steam and will come out with less pain. Do it right after tho, and keep the door closed (so cooler air will not come in and close ur pores).
Use that anbesol stuff that people use to numb their teeth. Its sounds silly but smear it on your eyebrows and let it sit for a while. Your skin will absorb it and come slightly numb. then pluck them. It wont feel great but it will be much better
Numb them with ice first… push down on your eyebrows and massage them each time you pluck a hair out. Your eyebrows will stop hurting once you pluck them more. Plz answer my question!!!!!!!
xoxo hope this helps!
Try plucking your eyebrows right after you take a shower that way it hurts WAY less since your pores are open. Or instead of plucking you can use vaseline to put them in shape.
If you have a bath before plucking your eyebrows, the heat releases some of the pain. Also you could apply some cream on them, which makes it less hurt! x
I have that sort of problem too. But it’s the one’s closer to my eyes that hurt. Make sure you pull in the direction your hair grows in that area. It helps me a little. Also there are creams that are safe for around your eye that can relax the skin and maybe give it a cool feeling that could help. Have you ever considered getting them waxed. It’s not very painful, only for that one second. IF you continue to get them waxed, they will grow in thinner. I used to do that. But now I’m too poor. lol. Also when you are done plucking you can get a gentle baby oil. It helps with any irration that may occur. I haven’t tried those tweaser that’s supposedly are painless and send a little electric shock. I’m not into that. I haven’t heard anything good about them. And for some reason the idea of a small electric shock scares me. I think it could damage your skin cells. If I were you I”d get a cooling lotion safe for the eye area to put on first. They may even have a gentle numbing cream. Or just tough it out. I have faith in you… I hate plucking. Oh and a tip for plucking. Whenever I Get into my car the lighting in there allows for me to see every damn little hair on my eyebrows when I look in the mirror. You’ll be suprised how much you can miss. Pluck in that sort of lighting, hell pluck in your car. I’ve been known to do it…. Also you’d be suprised on how tough you can be when somebody else is doing it. Get someone you trust or a pro. to do it. Good luck!
do it when you just come out of the shower because all of your pores open up and it will be less painful. or you could try getting eyebrow trimmers/groomers. you cant feel a thing. the only downside is you get eyebrow stubble when the hair grows back. hope his helped xx
Accept yourself as you are. Stop inflicting pain upon yourself. Use the wasted time spent plucking and primping to advance yourself as a human being.
The more you pluck them, the less straight and flat they will grow; plucking affects the very short follicles of eyebrows. The more you pluck, the more you will have to pluck.
If people don’t like you as you are, find better people to hang out with.
Try buying a tube of “Ora-Gel” at your local drug store…this is just what the dentist puts on your gums before you get a novacaine shot….its a topical anesthetic….spread some over your eyebrow area – be careful not to get any in your eye…let sit a few minutes then wipe off right before you pluck.
use hair remover or wax
hair removers like “nair “could work
also wax hurts but its only one time. see if you use wax your hair comes off for onece and for all!!
hope i helped

Yup, try some creamy lotion, wait 2 minutes and start. The often you pluck them, the less theyll hurt. Good (p)luck.
